A reader can raise a correction through the contact route or the relevant discussion. Include a reliable source and explain which statement is inaccurate.
The editor should compare the claim with the cited source and current official guidance. If an error affects safety, regulations or identification, withdraw the unreliable passage while it is checked.
A substantial correction should identify the change and its date on the article. Minor spelling corrections do not need a new publication date. Do not silently remove a material factual error without an explanatory note.
